Solvent-based inks for flexographic and rotogravure printing
At Kao Chimigraf you can find many different series of solvent-based inks for printing on a wide variety of media and applications. We present the flexographic and rotogravure inks - the fruit of the combination of various resins, pigments, additives and solvents, all developed by our R&D department.
Solvent-based inks for flexographic printing
Novaintex
Suitable for polyolefin and polyester media treated with adhesives with or without solvent. This ink series is designed for lamination printing and is also suitable for external printing varnish prior to the addition of Varnish AR Nova-Intex. It stands out for its resistance to temperature and grease.
Novaconfort AR
Specially for the external printing of polyolefin media. It offers excellent resistance to water, freezing, wet rub, grease and abrasion, as well as being heat-resistant. It also has a special certified OK COMPOST range to print on compostable and biodegradable media.
Complus
Designed exclusively for the lamination printing of polyolefin, polyester and polyamide media. The series stands out for its excellent lamination strength, being quick drying, having low residual odour and a very low level of solvent retention.
ISL Flex
A series of inks for printing corona treated polyethylene, high lightfastness as well as eventual outdoor resistance. It is highly regarded for its excellent brightness and its resistance to wet and dry rub, grease and abrasion.
Conflex EC
Developed for printing biaxially oriented polypropylene adhesive seals and untreated (BOPP) by the Primer + Ink + Release system. This series of solvent-based inks provides excellent flexibility and resistance to water and wet and dry rub.
It is also known for being resistant to gelling, which allows printing on polyethylene and polypropylene (BOPP) media for frozen products. It provides excellent printing results on the retractable polyethylene binding of multi-packs.
Flexo 100 EC
A special two-component series for printing polypropylene tape, both treated and untreated, with a corona machine and water-based acrylic adhesive paste. Noted for excellent adhesion to the medium and its fast drying and exceptional gloss. Prior to use, the Flexo 100 EC ink series must be mixed with Additive C-200.
Vinigraf EC
Exclusively for printing on PVC self-adhesive seals, it stands out for its ease of use and excellent adhesion without using Primer, Release or additives. Vinigraf EC ensures high levels of chemical and abrasion resistance.
Solvent-based inks for rotogravure printing
Complus-Hueco
Specially formulated for rotogravure printing flexible film intended for lamination. It offers excellent lamination strength, is fast drying, has a low residual odour and a very low level of solvent retention.
Roto-Intex
Suitable for the rotogravure printing of polyolefin and treated PET (chemical or corona) materials for lamination printing and is suitable for the prior external printing addition of Varnish AR Roto-Intex. Temperature and grease resistant, it is fast drying and has a high pigment concentration.
